The VS800 Intruder kept to the same successful formula that had ensured good sales especially in its targeted North American market. The power was now up to a more respectable 63hp and torque up to 62.1nm at just 4000 rpm.
The weight though remained virtually unchanged at just 201kg, and this was the factor that really helped sales to those of a shorter stature and of course this often means the Ladies. The bike had style and coolness in abundance, but unlike the USA’s home grown competition was totally user friendly with low vibration, and had bullet proof build quality and reliability.
