M31 1968 USA (E03)

Designated as the M31 the 55cc ‘Step Through’ design was a pretty blatant copy of the Honda Cub. Yamaha were also guilty of similar practices. The M30 model was a 50cc version and almost identical. Both were named ‘The Mockick’. Although Suzuki would argue the Step Through concept was originally conceived by them in the mid 1950’s, it was Honda that took it to the market, and with a superior and more economical four stroke engine. The two-stroke piston port engine was well made with enough power for two up riding. Classic values of these early machines, much like the original Honda Cub, are going ever upwards.
