RG125F 1994 (R) (E15 E18 E34)

info

The first RG125 ran from1978 to 1980, and sold simultaneously with the RG185, but not sharing the ‘Ram-Air’ cylinder head. It was formerly known as the GT125 and still used that name in some markets, along with the X4 name in other countries. This model was fast, class leading in its time with 16hp, and a fairly svelte 107kg.

In 1984 the water-cooled 25hp RG125 Gamma was launched to compete against the Italian ‘Pocket Rockets’. This model was both light and possessed fine handling and breaking qualities. Styling was based on the RG250 Gamma and RG500 Gamma. This model lasted until 1991 when the all new RG125 appeared.

This model gave an impressive 33hp @11250rpm in its unrestricted form and weighed just 115kg, even with the new models electric start. A naked version was also sold called the RG125U Wolf. The engine was literally half an RGV250, and had a balance shaft to reduce vibration, and unlike its predecessor you did not have to be a midget to be comfortable!
