info

The LS650 was one of the first Japanese machines to receive proper ‘Chopper’ styling, and with a 647cc single cylinder engine was both light at 155kg and easy to handle with a low seat height of just 66cm (26 inches).

It was and is an excellent machine for novice or riders of a shorter stature, and has been in production constantly since the mid 1980’s.

The SOHC air-cooled 31hp engine is enough to propel this light machine to motorway cruising speeds, and its maintenance free belt drive reliably transmits it’s performance through a smooth five speed gearbox.

Apart from minor cosmetic facelifts, the model has gone on being produced through the decades with virtually no changes, amply demonstrating the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ philosophy that comes from a model that was designed and built correctly from the beginning!
