Launched in 1985 the EN450 LTD was an extraordinarily competent middleweight cruiser.
The compact parallel double overhead camshaft liquid cooled twin gave a lively 50ps @ 9500 rpm. Although German market machines were substantially less powerful with just 27ps.
The Engine with clever camshaft development allowed easy low rev cruising, but also with the 50PS version allowed a good surge of power at high revs. This was also achieved through careful exhaust and carburettor tuning.
A six-speed transmission with positive neutral finder allows the rider to use the engine's full potential.
The double-cradle frame, made of strong but lightweight steel tubing, is low and long to help give the EN 450 LTD its classic cruiser looks. It also drops the seat height to just over 28 inches to put the rider in a relaxed cruising position, and with a belt final drive would not deposit oil on the riders Levi’s!
