The Honda Elsinore CR450R was Honda’s first production “open-class” Moto-Cross machine when launched in 1981. It was available in any colour you like, so long as it was Tahitian Red, with black and white stripe in the tank.
The engine was a 431cc reed valve two stroke and a four speed transmission.
These made quite an impact on the scrambles scene and are now very popular in vintage twin-shock scrambles.
