Kawasaki KZ440 information

Kawasaki KZ440

Available in two basic formats, the Z440 with a SOHC engine putting out just 27bhp was pretty dull either as a sports machine in the Z440C 1980 model or the custom LTD 1982 variant.

Both utilised a six-speed box and chain drive. They were solidly made machines, and although down on power were blessed with flexible and fairly torquey engines.

Real Classic” magazine say’s this about the Z440:

This particular bike came into our family in 1987, where it has remained ever since. It is a parallel twin of 443cc and it has proved to be a good and reliable all-rounder. It will return between 60 to 70mpg, and still head off up towards 100mph. This is a laid-back middleweight with reasonable performance and economy.”

Nothing else to add really!
