KZ400A1 1977 USA / MPH

Single overhead camshaft four stroke twin gave this 175kg machine a top speed of 164km/h. It was overshadowed by it’s more glamorous three cylinder two stroke sibling, both then and still today in the classic World, where these models by and large are unloved and unwanted! They are none the less well made and competent, but sadly for them rather boring! There are however still enthusiasts for this able machine, which was certainly as good or better than similar machines from the other Big Three manufacturers. A ‘Google’ for this model will turn up quite a surprising following for these machines, which really were a sign of the times at that time, for that time! Just a little dull!
