Kawasaki KV75 information
A charming mini bike in the ‘Monkey’ style mad so famous by Honda, Kawasaki's
Mini Trail first launched in 1971 featured a 75cc two-stroke engine with 4 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. Other features like an automatic clutch with three-speed transmission made the MT1 appealing to the novice rider.
Fold down handlebars allowed easy transportation in the (large!) boot of a car.
The MT1 was marketed in the USA; it’s primary market with the help of legendary US racecar driver Parnelli Jones.
Still fairly common in North America, less so elsewhere, these make a delightful alternative to the ubiquitous Honda Monkey, with a crisp two stroke engine able to deliver surprisingly good performance, especially when tuned with an after market expansion chamber exhaust!
