Honda XR75 information
Introduced in 1973 primarily for the North American market as an off road only model. Very popular with youngsters, it ran for five years, it’s swan song being 1978, although still available from stock for a further 18 months. It was produced in only three colours, Tahitian Red, Flash Red and a very unattractive sounding, but not looking, Rubber Grey.
Using the modified overhead camshaft CB50J style engine added to it’s credibility, looking like a ‘Real Motorcycle’ compared to the earlier horizontal cylinder engine off roaders.
The model was superseded by the XR80 in 1979
