Reusing the old socket Bolt is simply not worth the risk! The old item may have been stretched and have possible thread damage - Either way they will be difficult to torque up properly.

    These bolts is fixed in the piston inside the fork with chemical like Loctite and such. When you loosen this bolt they could be damaged. That is why you should have new ones ready if you consider to disassemble your forks.
