Honda XL1000 information
The XL1000 Varadero came into Europe in 1999, and was an instant hit for riders wanting to complete extreme touring without discomfort.
People travelling long distances on the road were delighted to finally find a bike capable of high performance and endurance, without sacrificing rider convenience or the motorcycle's aesthetic elements.
Broad and comfortable with easily expanding carrying capacity and plenty of room for two, means that the Honda XL1000 Varadero could happily accommodate both a long-planned trip into the country, or a spontaneous outing for newly converted adventure tourers.
The liquid cooled four stroke double overhead camshaft 8-valve 90 degree V-twin displaces 996cc and produces 93bhp @ 8000rpm, with a commendable light weight of 241kg, not bad for a 1 litre V-twin touring motorcyle.
