Replacing this essential 'O' ring seals will help ensure no air leaks entering between the carburettor and the inlet manifold. These items need renewing every time the carburettor is removed and refitted. If an engine runs to weak due to extraneous air leaks the piston and valves can become damaged to the point where replacement is the only alternative.
