This item is of very much use if you have the older type (German) engine that came without the crankshaft collar and with the 22 mm inside diameter oil seal
those engines usually have the right crankshaft bearing spinning loose on the crank which leads to engine damage, and the oil seal can wear into the crank end.
This collar clamps the inner bearing race against the crankshaft so it doesn't spin, and also makes installing the crankshaft into the bearing much easier, by tightening down the crankshaft nut it pulls the crankshaft over the bearing. Don't forget to order the correct oil seal with 28 mm inside diameter instead of the old 22 mm inside diameter.
