It is pretty much essential to replace these Dowel pins when rebuilding the engine to make sure cylinder barrel lines up precisely with the crankcase. The old dowels could be slightly worn, possibly leading to alignment problems.
Renew for perfect precision. Don't forget to order the seals and gaskets you will need to complete your engine build.
