GL650 SILVERWING 1983 (D) USA

The GL500 was replaced in 1983 with the GL650 with power now up to 60bhp, and with vastly improved performance. The Pro link rear suspension and on the interstate,  fairing and hard luggage panniers and top box were all carried over from the GL500.
Despite the improvements in performance from the smooth counter-balanced V twin, the model was dropped in 1984.

The brand name was resurrected in 2001 with the Silver Wing scooter.
