Honda CR480 information

Honda CR480

Honda’s first “open-class” machine, the CR450 was not really up there with the European and other Japanese makers, so in 1982 the replacement CR480 was announced. It was a quantum improvement over the CR450, it was much lighter, far more mid range torque, but most importantly it’s suspension had been revised, and was now handled almost as well as the very competent machines from European manufacturers. The 1983 CR480R was even better, now with five speeds and able to compete on a level playing field with the all dominant Maico 490.
