Honda CM250 information
Final incarnation of the CM series of custom twins launched in 1982 using the CB250 ‘nighthawk’ engine still in use today. The 243cc overhead cam motor in relative soft tune is both pleasant and smooth, delivering a useful spread of performance, and for one year’s production, 1983, Honda fitted this with a Harley like belt final drive to drive home it’s cruiser credentials.
The machines have now achieved classic status, and like most Honda’s then and now are well made and nicely finished, making a real user friendly package, especially as the spares situation on these models is surprisingly good, making maintenance or restoration a less daunting task than with other classic Honda twins from earlier times.
