Honda CLR125 information
The competent Learner legal CLR125 ‘City fly’ has a top speed, just, of 60mph, and designed to appeal to the young novice rider with it’s off-road connotations. It is a good looking city bike, made from 1998 to 2003. It’s popularity with younger riders have helped it maintain good second hand residuals, but in it’s restricted 12bhp form is not really for the heavier more mature rider, where it’s performance is severely dented by extra weight.
The engine is the same four stroke overhead vale unit that has powered so many learner legal machines from Honda over many years, and it’s suspension is ideal for that urban commute, being well damped and pliant.
So for it’s intended purpose, and with legendary Honda build quality, no wonder used examples still sell for surprisingly high prices.
