Honda CBR500 information
70bhp supers sport 500,known as the Hurricane in some markets. The USA had the 600cc version. High performance, for a 500, and a relatively lightweight for that time, combined with a fine handling chassis made for a good all round sports machine.
Always in the shade of the CBR600, this was one of those models that makes one ponder the question why Honda produced it in the first place, but then, in those day’s Moto GP, or Senior 500 grand Prix as it was then termed was all 500cc, and that capacity was still generally thought to be popular. How times have changed!
