Hello my Honda dream motor cycle engine # CA77E-214031 has a slip in second gear. First gear is strong and also third does not do this slipping jerking motion. Any advice? I inspected the clutch checked all the gearing is complete and no teeth are missing on the gears. One thing I did notice was that the small chain connecting two of the gears has some slop in it. The chain is not right like the larger chain.

REPLY- Try replacing the gear cotters with the thicker optional ones- 23931-259-305 or 23933-259-305. Honda issued a service bulletin on this issue back in the day!
