It's an OEM part that installed much easier than I expected.
It was missing and I didn't even know that it existed until I saw it while looking for another part. It protects the shock from damage and I'm glad I now have it as I'm installing a new shock this winter.
As always, CMS service was superb!

As new condition, since it was OEM in packaging, hope it won't become brittle too soon. Anyone replacing this part should check if they will also need to replace the screws before they order.
