Honda CL90 information

Honda CL90

Ensuring they could supply the North American market with it’s apparently insatiable desire for “street Scramblers” This 8bhp @9500rpm model was announced in 1966.

The Hi-line exhaust and braced handle bars been standard fare for this important market, and certainly added a functional beauty to all the CL models.

Due to many local taxation laws in the USA at that time favouring 5hp allowing 15 year olds to ride legally, the CL90 was dropped in favour of the CL70 by the end of 1969, just getting in to the 5bhp licensing bracket.

This makes the CL90 a rare find today, and with that 8bhp, makes a very nice ride in it’s capacity class, certainly as good or better than the two stroke competition from the same period, and those classy looks are the icing on the cake!
