Replacing these studs when rebuilding the engine would be a sensible precaution. The old items will have stretched and be difficult to torque up properly!
We advise you to also renew the nuts that fit these studs - mixing old possibly damaged or stretched threads with new will not help the situation!

  • Avoid a mechanical disaster by replacing this bolt with a new, correct specification item!
  • Have you ordered all the gaskets and seals you will require to complete the overhaul!
