Subject: Looking for specs on compression?

I am trying to get this to run for a little kid and his dad does not work on it for him to get it running, so here i go. It has good spark and the plug does not seem to get gas or flood, good gas, choke works, carb is clean & perfect and wants to start just seems like it aint getting enough gas, so i was looking at the reeds are good. Now this ran at another time but dont know the story on it? Could the compression be low is there anything you can think of??
Thanks for your help! Steve

Whether or not it fires and runs shouldn't have anything to do with the compression. If the plugs are dry, the filter or fuel line may be blocked, or the float may be ill adjusted to prevent (sufficient) fuel from reaching the combustion area... Could also be a leak in the manifold rubber(s) where air leaks in preventing a proper combustion mixture...

This is something typical, perhaps someone who's been there?   reply to this

Maybe i should tweek the float, that it would rise a little more? It has that metal pipe off the head & right to the new carb. I cant understand why not one drop of fuel to the plug, like wants to start then dies off, fuel come out great at the pedcock to the carb? Thank you very much, i will try after work again & let you know, i will get a new plug & some shot of either how ever you spell that.
Again thanks Steve!!  reply to this
