Yamaha TZ250 information
With out doubt, this machine and it’s 350cc stable mate were the most successful over the counter customer race bikes ever made. When launched in1973,this 110kg motorcycle put out 51bhp @ 10500rpm and because of water-cooling did not lose power as the engine became hotter as it did with the earlier air-cooled units.
The success of the TZ250/350 models, even at the very highest level proved that Yamaha’s production racers were a match for anything then available – even including factory works specials from other manufacturers.
