Yamaha TY175 information
Juniors moving up a division usually did a deal with their local Yamaha stockists, and part exchanged their TY80 for a TY175! Similar chassis and engine torque characteristics made a nice smooth transition to intermediate trial competitions. The 175’s only weak point was the engine was not quite powerful enough for the heavier built youngster, but then they could always trade up for the TY250!
