Yamaha TT600 information
When Yamaha introduced the XT500 in 1977, they introduced a whole new market segment to trail bike enthusiasts. That early machine was very nice, but had more than enough problems, hot starting could be tricky, the weight, despite magnesium components was still excessive, and the performance was really only average.
The TT600 addressed all those problems in one hit. It’s four valve head added another 15 BHP, it was lighter, easier to handle, an absolute peach that put Yamaha, once again ahead of the game they invented.
