Yamaha SR250 information
Mild mannered not unattractive commuter 250. 21 BHP is not going to frighten the novice rider, but still enough to allow for an 80mph top speed, and acceleration to hold it’s own in urban environments. It’s low weight and excellent fuel consumption, coupled with low priced spares make it a good second hand bet, so long as the oil is changed regularly, as the sump capacity is small.
Many customising parts available from Japanese custom parts specialists, in Japan it is something of a cult, often seen in café racer guise!
