Yamaha RD200 information
Yamaha building on the success of the CS3 model introduced the RD 200 with its patented reed valve induction system, blessing the power unit with greater reliability and smoother power delivery. Keeping the unusual (for two strokes) electric start maintained the bikes appeal, as a sporty commuter bike that could hold it's own with much larger capacity four strokes from the period.
