Yamaha RD125 information

Superb stroker twin from Yamaha, the fastest 125 road legal machine available at that time, with 15BHP, and later models putting out 17BHP with a very crisp sounding engine and slick five speed box. Twin leading shoe front brake, soon to be replaced with a disc, and a well made frame inspired confidence, and with Yamaha’s ongoing race success sold well, particularly on those countries that had the 125cc learner legal laws. Sadly in some European countries the law was changed and all learner legal machinery had to produce no more than 12BHP, and that is still pretty much how it stands today.
