Subject: HEY everyone out there, I need information@ JT1

I've got a 1971 Yamaha JT1 60cc(street).
An, I'm looking for information of any sort about the JT1-

Right now, I'm working on or trying to work on the Electrical system, the JT1/2 series work on a magneto ignition system-

" I put in the 6v batt. with no fuse in the hot wire for the batt. & the key was on, because it all ways on when the key out because it's in up side down or some thing like that.
Anyway 6v batt. in with no fuse & key on, green light goes on the jt1s gage saying it in nutarl, I go to satrt the JT1, it starts right up, idles
real nice too, drive it around the block & down the street and back to my drive way. AND try to trun the JT1 off by means of unpluging the batt.
But the KEY is always on so the damn JT1 keeps running then all hell comes out of the little JT1 and the idles shoots up hellish lee, very high idles, SO I just pull off the spark plug wire an it truns right off.
SO, I found the fuse for the hot 6v batt. put it in like it should be & now I have the key, so I don't have try to cut the power at the batt. I go to start it back up later that same & the GREEN light doesn't come on, but the trun lights do.
NOW, it will not start at all because of the green light. SO some thing bruned up out
is not on"
