Knowing when you are in neutral by a visual check on the neutral indicator light is much easier and less taxing to the clutch and gearbox than finding out by releasing the clutch slightly! Most neutral indicator lights fail not through a blown bulb but the switch in the change mechanism itself. This item has a hard life and renewing it will make riding especially in stop/start city environments much more pleasant.

Disappointing purchase

I was disappointed to receive a plastic switch rather than a metal switch (as shown in the picture).
There was no explanation why a substitute cheaper plastic switch was sent.
I was charged £18.48 when I could have bought a plastic switch in the UK for £7.50 (Wemoto)
A friend recommended CMS saying that they were the best place to buy vintage Yamaha parts from.
Sadly I feel let down, thankfully I didn't place a larger order as I thought I would try with a small order first.
This is poor customer service CMS, and not very inspiring for any possible future purchases.
The switch worked fine, sorry only two stars though this time... maybe.
