Suzuki RM80 information
The earliest types of the RM80 junior level moto-cross machine was an air-cooled two stroke producing a healthy 14.5hp @11,000 rpm when launched in 1978. Induction was both piston and reed valve, and although fast had a fairly fearsome power-band, not the best mix with a bike weighing just 62kg, likely to spit off the unwary novice straight out of the back door!
By the early 1980’s the model acquired liquid cooling and more power, this time with a little more flexibility. Model evolved over the years, and was extremely popular with Junior riders, but was replaced in 2002 by the RM85
