Suzuki RF600 information
Introduced in 1993 this sports 600 looked like it had an aluminium perimeter frame, but in fact was steel, which is why the early models came with a painted frame in red or silver to match the bodywork. Despite the steel chassis it gave hardly anything a way to its more expensive rivals, and weighed just 195kg which was about average for that time. With 100hp @ 10600 rpm it performed as well as most of the competition but always lived in the shadow of the RF900, a very similar machine, and not much heavier, but with 25hp more!
