Suzuki GSF400 information

Suzuki GSF400

The 250cc and 400cc classes are the most popular in Japan, as they fall into license categories. That is why so many superb lightweights stay in that country and are unavailable in Europe, the 400 bandit however was exported, and what a super little machine it was!

Launched in 1988 the liquid cooled DOHC 16valve engine was derived from the GSXR-R400 and gave 59hp @12000rpm in a machine that weighed 168kg. Handling in the light stiff chassis was a delight, and a top fairing model was also available.

The German version was cruelly restricted to just 50hp!
There was also a 45hp 250 bandit, but that did not make it to Europe
