Suzuki GN400 information
Another charming retro style machine from Suzuki, the GN400 launched in 1980 was a pretty traditionally designed model owing much to the SP370 Trail machine. This in part explains the low 140kg weight, and ample ground clearance.
The 27hp two valve SOHC engine was a sweet easy starting ‘Thumper’, but never achieved the same cult status awarded to it’s competitor from Yamaha the SR500/400.
The model was also produced in the less attractive cruiser style with cast wheel and large seat, this being the GS400E model. The GN400 was produced for just a couple of years, being phased out in 1982 as far as European markets were concerned.
