Suzuki DR400 information

Suzuki DR400

Replacement for the out-going DR370, the DR400 was launched in 1980. The SOHC engine was essentially a larger capacity 370, with an extra and useful 2hp now up to 27hp @ 7500rpm.

Still retaining the 5-speed gearbox and twin shock rear end; this model was almost immediately outdated by Mono-Shock machinery from Yamaha, prompting a quick update from Suzuki. This twin shock model, however is the one for collectors!

The name lives on today with the new generation of high performance liquid cooled DOHC machinery, now known as the DRZ400/
