It is hard to remove the old rubber mount without tearing or generally damaging the part especially as they become brittle and degraded. It is easier to keep a couple of spares in your parts bin, apply a little 'tyre slick' and re-fit easily! This will help protect the part from vibration damage, and of course ultimately save a lot more money!
