Subject: Honda CB500 pistons in my Benelli 750 / 6

Hi Guys, I have a 1974 Benelli 750cc 6 cylinder, can anyone help me out and tell me what model Honda CB500 piston would fit. There seem to be many differnet models, are they the same piston ?

The standard CB500 Four piston kit will fit, or .25 or .50 or plus .75 depending on the condition of the bores of your Benelli. They are dimensionally the same, same bore and stroke same piston position in relation to the piston pin and combustion chamber.
Trouble is you need 6, so you maybe better buying 6 genuine Honda individual pistons, although the CMS KIT would still be less expensive even allowing for the fact that you will not be using two of the pistons.
To reassure yourself you really should strip the engine and measure a piston. A specialist engineer like Phil Denton Engineering could help if you were to contact them.
