Replacing these tubes with new Honda parts is the safest and most positive way to ensure your forks do not leak oil, are correctly damped, with free movement of the oil shuttle damping system. Re-chroming can work, but it is expensive if and when it fails! The tolerances are very tight, and over grinding, or under grinding can lead to severe problems, with a worse case scenario of damaging the aluminium sliders themselves! It is your decision, but with the values of KO.K1 and K2 CB750's rising ever higher we think you will know which way to go!
