A Wire Harness, also known as a wire harness, cable assembly, wiring assembly or wiring loom, is an set up of wires or wires which conduct data or electrical power. The cables are bound together by ties, cable ties, cable lacing, sleeves, electrical tape, conduit, a weave of extruded string, or a combination thereof.
Commonly used in vehicles, as well as construction equipment, cable harnesses offer some benefits over loose wires and cables. For example, many airplane, automobiles and spacecraft include many masses of wires which would extend over several kms when fully extended.
