The exhaust valve guide generally has a harder time of things, as the heat soak compromises the lubrication of valve to guide. A smoky exhaust is usually indicative of a worn guide. Restore full performance by fitting a new Honda part, preferably with a new valve to match, and enjoy your CB750 as it should be.
