COTTER,VALVE

These classic Honda twins, rely on their valve gear being perfect, both for the rev hungry performance, and reliability. When renewing the valves, replacing the valve cotter should be mandatory. It is not worth the expensive breakage of a dropped valve being hit by the piston, and may be allowing bits of valve to drop in to your cylinder.
