Small high revving engines like this give there valves a hard time, especially the exhaust, which over the years can turn brittle. Don't take the risk of re-using old valves when overhauling your engine, if the collar breaks, the valve hits the piston, and the worse case scenario could be a bent or broken con rod! Fit new ones, you know it makes sense!
