Perhaps because these cables are only used once or twice a day, and because this is a classic Honda, perhaps only used during the Summer months, this cable can become quite stiff through lack of use. This can cause the inner cable to 'rough up' and fray, causing damage the inside of the outer, especially if the bike has stood for a while. So if this is the scenario you find yourself in, treat your Goldwing to a new genuine Honda cable, you will feel a whole lot better when that choke operation is as smooth as the rest of you bike!
