Monkey Speed record: Departure for Bonneville
Here is an update of the Speed record attempt
After the last tests on a longer distance, "the fastest Monkey of the world", is now ready to go to Bonneville. In its fourth gear the Monkey bike nearly runs at 160 km/h (107miles). However, the the engine does not run with the right rotational speed. Also – changing on 17/18. This will be better for the engine and the speed.
Bonneville is situated 1100 m above sea level and its atmosphere suffers a reduced oxygen level bringing negative influence to the engine's power.
Hopefully, the thinner air compensates the lower aerodynamic drag at this height.
