Monkey Speed Record: Day 3 At Bonneville
Today was a very hot day. Enduring 35 degrees Celcius in a shadowless desert is not a treat. Nor is waiting for 5 hours at the starting line! That's what Ivo had to do before getting started.

Fortunately the condition of the track is getting better by the day, which refected in the speed. At his first run, Ivo managed to get a speed of 96.177 mph (154.782 km/h). The AMA inspectors checked the bike and everything was OK for the second run. This time he topped a 98.782 mph ( 158.974 km/h). A very good run, already breaking Michael York's 1974 WR of 96.618 mph!!!!
However, Ivo feels that there is still room for improvement and wants to give it another go tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the media attention is overwhelming. Ivo is taking calls from the best journalists from the US and photographers are keen on taking pictures of the Fastest Monkey Bike in the world.
