Monkey Speed Record: Day 2 At Bonneville
Here is another update of the Monkey Bike Speed record attempt.
On the second day of Bonneville race day, the conditions where much better, but not perfect. In his second attempt to break the speed record for a Monkey bike, the speedometer maxed at a staggering 90,29mph (144,47 km/h). Still, a rough 6 mph below the existing speed record.
For the next attempt, the team did some additional tweaking. Specifically, a 16 teeth front sprocket and a 19 for the rear were installed, since the machine never reached it's fourth gear.
Meanwhile we wish Ivo and the whole team success on passing the magical 100mph line tomorrow.
