Replacement for the EN450, the EN 500 was only slightly more powerful with 53bhp @ 9000 rpm, but gave substantially more mid range torque.
Using the same counterbalanced twin cylinder engine that can be found in other 500cc models in the Kawasaki line up, this well tried and tested design delivers good reliable smooth performance in a remarkably compact package.
The six-speed gearbox is also carried over with the neutral finder, no matter what gear the rider is in.
